How do you validate unloaded fuel amount from tank truck?
Do you still go up the tanks trucks to check the amount of oil you receive? But do you know that this endeavor is actually meaningless?
It is common mischief to pull out illegal modification to level notch in fuel tank truck, around the world. In Korea, as of Jan 1st, 2015, level notch in fuel tank truck is no longer regulated under legal meter law. It implies that the level notch that you are watching might be invalid one, and not credible.
Fuel transportation process is heavily monitored by numerous auxiliary procedures and sensors. But even with those attempts, illegal attempts are tried everyday, and can't filter out human error or mistakes. And gas station owner have to take in non-pole-signed-fuels as well, which is often not heavily monitored as pole-signed-fuels are dealt with.

TOM passed official testings on oil meter, which meets global standards, and the test results are surprising industry professionals,
who was first reluctant to our findings.

Our initial goal was to apply some on-the-shelf flowmeter and make oil meter by assemblying it. That was our initial plan for Hi-Level.
But any other flowmeter could not overcome accuracy problem caused by air cavitation. When tank truck is unloading fuel from tank, at the beginning and the end of unloading, air enters and makes great noise. This problem is well known, and was major headache for flowmeter manufacturers.
While doing R&D ourselves, we ended up adding our 'magnetostrictive displacement measurement technology' with traditional rotameter(variable area tapered-shape flowmeter). Since then, we've been pushing our limit to make it commercialized.
Our finding surprises us with its unexpected and cost-effective accuracy. Our invention can measure fluid flow with 0.1% accuracy, even though fluid have air cavitation. And this accuracy is almost equivalent to mass flowmeter types, the most expensive kind.
